Terms and Conditions

❖ 1 — Scope
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the website of Insights Academic Publishing (“IAP”) located at www.iapublishing.org, including all journal-related subpages and online services provided through the site.
1.2 Any individual visiting the website or submitting a manuscript shall be referred to as the “User,” “Author,” or “You/Your.”
1.3 By using the website or submitting a manuscript, You agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions as well as the IAP Policies, including:
- Open Access Policy
- Copyright & Licensing Policy
- Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
- Peer Review Policy
- Privacy Policy
1.4 In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other policy published by IAP, the wording of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
❖ 2 — Services Provided by IAP
2.1 IAP is an independent academic publisher currently publishing Insights in Animal Science, an open-access peer-reviewed journal.
2.2 IAP does not guarantee inclusion of articles in any indexing services. Indexing decisions are made independently by third-party organizations.
2.3 No additional publishing services (such as repository delivery, commercial editing, archiving beyond the journal website, or promotional services) are guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing.
❖ 3 — Submission and Editorial Process
3.1 Submission of a manuscript constitutes a request to begin editorial evaluation. All manuscripts undergo:
- initial editorial screening
- peer review
- revision (if required)
- editorial decision
3.2 Manuscripts must be original, not under review elsewhere, and free from plagiarism or ethical misconduct.
3.3 Authors must ensure that all co-authors:
- have contributed to the work,
- agree to the submission,
- consent to appear as authors.
3.4 IAP may reject or withdraw a manuscript at any stage if it violates ethical standards, including plagiarism, fabricated data, authorship disputes, or unethical research practices.
3.5 IAP currently charges no Article Processing Charges (APCs). If fees are introduced in the future, they will be transparently announced and will not apply retroactively to previously submitted manuscripts.
❖ 4 — Withdrawal, Retraction, and Removal
4.1 Authors may withdraw a manuscript before acceptance by sending a written request to the editorial office.
4.2 After acceptance, withdrawal is generally not permitted unless justified.
4.3 Articles may be retracted or removed under COPE-compliant conditions including:
- confirmed misconduct
- legal or ethical violations
- copyright infringement claims
- court orders or governmental directives
- significant errors affecting scientific validity
4.4 Retraction notices will remain permanently accessible.
❖ 5 — Copyright and Licensing
5.1 Authors retain copyright of their work.
5.2 Published articles are distributed under a Creative Commons license, typically CC BY 4.0, unless stated otherwise.
5.3 Authors must secure permissions for reuse of copyrighted materials included in their article.
5.4 Authors agree to indemnify IAP against claims arising from copyright infringement, plagiarism, or violations of third-party rights associated with their submission.
❖ 6 — Use of the Website
6.1 Users agree not to:
- misuse the website or its content
- attempt unauthorized access
- upload malicious software or harmful material
6.2 Website content may be reused according to the Creative Commons license of each article.
6.3 While IAP aims to provide continuous website access, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, or factors beyond our control.
❖ 7 — Privacy and Personal Data
7.1 Personal data is processed according to the IAP Privacy Policy, which outlines:
- what data is collected
- how it is used
- how it is stored
7.2 Author names, affiliations, and corresponding email addresses may be published with the article.
7.3 Authors are responsible for obtaining consent from co-authors regarding publication of their details.
❖ 8 — Limitation of Liability
8.1 IAP is not liable for:
- loss of profits
- loss of data
- damages resulting from website downtime
- decisions by indexing or ranking services
- reliance on information hosted on external websites
8.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is not legally permitted.
❖ 9 — Governing Law and Jurisdiction
9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
9.2 Courts located in Lahore, Pakistan shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions.
❖ 10 — Changes to These Terms
10.1 IAP may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting revised content on this page.
10.2 Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
